Jewelry Care

Care-related Information:

1. It’s very important that your jewelry is kept in a closed container in a dry place when you are not wearing it, and that it stays dry when it is on and off of you. Do the best you can to keep them away from moisture (and oily liquids like your lotions). The golds, unless the 14k gold, are coated metals, that’s why these are able to remain inexpensive, and can tarnish if not taken care of. However, I have been wearing mine almost daily since 2015 and they have not changed because of how I store them in a jewelry box when they are not being worn. Treat your pieces just as you would treat your fancy pieces :)

2. Each bracelet is hand strung on thick, durable stretch cord without a clasp (because the bracelets can be easily slipped over the hand - no clasp is needed). Each beaded necklace or mask chain is strung on a thick, durable satin cord and held together with metal hardwares for jewelry making. The clasps or other hardware pieces are brass or other golden coated metals, so the same idea as listed above for bracelets will apply - keep them stored in a container or jewelry box and try to refrain from getting them wet.

3. CHOKING HAZARD WARNING: Please remember that these items are handmade and that beads are a choking hazard. If it is a bracelet: please encourage your child to slide the bracelet on, rather than stretch it/pull it to put it over their hand. It is not a toy, so stretching and pulling it for fun is not encouraged! It is a good idea to count the beads on your child's bracelet ahead of time, so if it does break you can feel sure when you find all of the pieces and that there are not any lying around as a hazard. Bead sizes available upon request if you just message me. They vary depending on the bracelet or necklace. DO NOT leave these bracelets on your child during their bed time or nap times, or even in their carseat, when they can play with them on their own, unattended. They should not be put in their mouths at all, ever. Little Lovely Day is not liable for the snapping of bracelets once they are in your possession or for what your child does with their bracelet or beads if they do get ahold of them on their own. Thank you for understanding! Remember - handmade items in the hands of children should always be handled carefully! I have children of my own and would never let them wear these when they are not being supervised. If it is a necklace: many of the same ideas as above apply, but also be cautious that this is something around the child’s neck and should be taken off during play time or when unattended, or even while they are at school, because you cannot watch them yourself. Necklaces and mask chains can be snagged on things and pull on a child’s neck. Due to the handmade nature, I do feel that these should only be on your child when they are in a safe space and attended by an adult who is aware the jewelry item is on them.

4. Due to the handmade nature of each item - colors, shapes, and bead sizes may vary slightly from the photos and descriptions. That is what makes these pieces so unique!

5. Please treat your jewelry with care. Handle them gently, as some materials can be fragile. Although every effort has been made to ensure the strongest materials were used, it is necessary to treat your jewelry with care. Do not get them wet, or you risk snapping string or ruining beads.
